- 2 cups fresh or frozen peas
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon Szechuan peppercorns (buy here)
- 1 tablespoon chili garlic sauce (Huy Fong Chili Garlic Sauce)
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- Salt to taste
- 1 tablespoon green onions, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare Peas: If using fresh peas, bring a pot of water to a boil and cook the peas for about 3-5 minutes until tender. If using frozen peas, follow the package instructions for cooking. Drain and set aside.
- Heat Oil: In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat.
- Sauté Aromatics: Add the minced garlic and Szechuan peppercorns to the skillet. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add Peas and Sauce: Add the cooked peas to the skillet. Stir in the chili garlic sauce, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Stir-fry for about 2-3 minutes until the peas are well coated and heated through.
- Season: Add salt to taste and adjust the level of spiciness by adding more chili garlic sauce if desired.
