Ingredients

  • 20 jumbo pasta shells
  • 1 (15 oz) container ricotta cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (or 1 tablespoon dried)
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Cook pasta shells according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside to cool slightly.
  3. In a medium bowl, mix ricotta, 1 cup mozzarella, Parmesan, egg, parsley, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  4. Spread 1 cup marinara sauce in the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  5. Fill each shell with about 2 tablespoons of the cheese mixture and arrange in the dish.
  6. Pour remaining marinara sauce over the shells and sprinkle with remaining mozzarella.
  7. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 10 minutes, until cheese is bubbly and golden.
  8. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
