Cheesy Garlic Pull-Apart Bread is the ultimate party appetizer or side dish! This golden, crusty round loaf is scored and stuffed with a blend of gooey cheeses, fresh parsley, and savory garlic butter. Each piece pulls away in a perfect, cheesy bite—ideal for sharing with friends and family.
Ingredients
- 1 large round sourdough or Italian loaf (about 1 lb)
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
- 3–4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped (plus more for garnish)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with foil or parchment paper.
- Place the round loaf on a cutting board. Using a sharp bread knife, make diagonal cuts about 1 inch apart across the loaf, being careful not to cut all the way through. Rotate the loaf and make diagonal cuts in the opposite direction, creating a crosshatch pattern.
- In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper.
- Gently separate the bread sections and use a spoon or brush to drizzle the garlic butter mixture into all the cuts, making sure to coat the inside of the bread.
- Stuff the shredded mozzarella, cheddar (if using), and parmesan cheese evenly into the cuts, pressing the cheese down into the bread.
- Wrap the loaf loosely in foil and place it on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 15 minutes, then unwrap the foil and bake for an additional 8–10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the top is golden and crisp.
- Remove from the oven, sprinkle with extra parsley if desired, and serve warm. Pull apart pieces to enjoy!
Enjoy your gooey, cheesy, garlicky pull-apart bread!
