Instructions

  1. Prep: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Grease 4 ramekins (6 oz size) with butter and lightly dust with cocoa powder or flour. Set on a baking sheet.
  2. Make the Lava: In a small microwave-safe bowl, combine 2 oz chocolate and 2 tablespoons heavy cream. Microwave in 20-second bursts, stirring between each, until melted and smooth. Set aside to cool slightly.
  3. Melt Chocolate & Butter: In a medium microwave-safe bowl, melt 1/2 cup butter and 6 oz chocolate together in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth. Let cool for 2 minutes.
